The Empowerment Center assists individuals and families seeking to overcome barriers that affect their access to community resources. Our staff provides assistance to clients with identifying problem/issues and steps towards achieving self and family development. Individuals are provided immediate information concerning available resources which can assist them with addressing their immediate needs.
Support services offered include:
- Assist individuals and familiesaccess community services
- Direct network to food, shelter, utility assistance, childcare, healthcare, budget counseling, legal assistance, etc.
- Online income tax filing
- Utility bill assistance
- Free eyeglasses
- The Lifeline Ohio Outreach program (see below)
Lifeline Ohio Outreach Program
Working with Ameritech home telephone services, the Lifeline Ohio Outreach program aides adults who have lost their landline telephone service or who do not currently receive service. Our quality advisers speed the process of applying for and receiving home landline support, and assist individuals in acquiring the lowest possible rate, including specially discounted rates.
